We’ve been quiet the last few months, but only because we’ve been hard at work, and finally the time is here! It is with unbridled joy and electric excitement to share that, beginning July 1st, Daniella Runyambo, Meagan Clawar, Katherine Ward, and Maddie Hayes will serve as RCP’s Co-Executive Directors! For many years we have been longing to transition away from a sole Executive Director model and toward a a collective leadership structure, and one that centers lived experience with the refugee and migrant journey. Daniella, Meagan, and Katherine are brilliant, hilarious, and inspiring badasses who have brought immense wisdom and vision to the RCP team.
Here’s what the Co-Executive Director roles will entail:
- Daniella Runyambo – Co-Director, Programs & Community Impact: Daniella will lead community impact, vision and strategy for RCP’s initiatives, partnership building, and the organization’s evolutionary purpose. She’s a magnetic visionary who inspires others, and is a role model for artful and motivating leadership.
- Meagan Clawar – Co-Director, Finance & Operations: Meagan will lead internal organizational development, financial health, and organization-wide systems building. Meagan has been the magic maker, the glue, the behind-the-scenes wizard at RCP for the last 5 years – whatever awesomeness RCP has done, it has Meagan’s finger prints all over it. Vision is nothing without application, and Meagan is a powerful integrator.
- Katherine Ward – Co-Director, HR & Culture: Katy will lead internal supports for RCP staff, “smart hearted” team development, and cultural stewardship, cultivating the magic of the RCP way. What an organization does is only as powerful as *how* it does it. Katy is a culture-builder and brings years of experience building impactful, interconnected, and heart-centered teams to this role, ensuring continuous internal alignment with our values.
- Madison Hayes – Co-Director, Communications & Fundraising: Maddie will lead fundraising, story telling, and communications strategy. She’ll be doing what she does best: talking about RCP to supporters and comrades near and far. We are constantly learning from our work, and sharing about our stumbling blocks and insights gained along the way is a central to how we want to show up for RCP communities and others in the nonprofit sector and social justice movements.
We’ll share more about Daniella, Meagan, and Katy soon – as well as introduce 4 new members of the RCP staff team (we’ve been growing *a lot*!) but for now, celebrate with us this much-awaited moment!
