Members of Refugee Community Partnership (RCP) are deeply grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to spend an evening with you all celebrating Syrian food and culture. As she shared with us, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for head Chef, Enaam, and her entire family. Together, we raised more than $28,000 to support the safety and wellbeing of migrant and refugee families in the Triangle area!

We cannot reiterate enough what a difference this support makes in a time when the national refugee resettlement program is facing political attacks and massive funding cuts. As newly arrived families have been receiving messages that federally funded rental assistance and language support is being discontinued, the impact of this rapid policy change has been exacerbated by the fear and confusion spread by conflicting messages and hateful rhetoric.

This time of great uncertainty has thrown into particularly stark relief the essential role of local support networks that are both community-led and community-resourced. Thank you for being a part of the RCP community of collective care.
